Method

Prepare the Miso Glaze

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.

Prepare the Salmon

  1. 2

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 3

    Apply Miso Glaze

Brush the miso glaze generously over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cook the Jasmine Rice

  1. 4

    Rinse Rice

In a fine mesh strainer, rinse 1 cup of jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 5

    Cook Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed jasmine rice and 1.5 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.

Grill the Asparagus

  1. 6

    Prepare Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus spears and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat.

  2. 7

    Grill Asparagus

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the asparagus for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and charred.

Cook the Salmon

  1. 8

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 9

    Bake Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Serve the miso glazed salmon alongside the grilled asparagus and jasmine rice. Drizzle any remaining miso glaze over the top for extra flavor.
