For the Wings

Method

Preparing the Wings

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.

  2. 2

    Season the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Arrange on Rack

Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Drizzle with vegetable oil.

  4. 4

    Bake the Wings

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are golden brown and crispy.

Making the Mango Habanero Sauce

  1. 5

    Blend Ingredients

In a blender, combine the diced mango, chopped habanero, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt.

  2. 6

    Blend Until Smooth

Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust salt or sweetness if necessary.

Tossing Wings in Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Wings and Sauce

Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl.

  2. 8

    Toss with Sauce

Pour the mango habanero sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve Hot

Serve the mango habanero wings hot, garnished with lime wedges if desired.
