Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, combine ground prime rib, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Grill or pan-fry the patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

BBQ Pulled Pork Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Pork

In a slow cooker, combine the Berkshire pork shoulder, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. 5

    Cook the Pork

Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork. Shred the pork and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker.

Onion and Cheese Preparation

  1. 6

    Caramelize Onions

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.

  2. 7

    Add Cheese

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the burger patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Burger

On a toasted bun, place the burger patty, topped with BBQ pulled pork, caramelized onions, and sliced pepperoncini.

  2. 9

    Serve with Side

Serve the burger with your choice of French fries, coleslaw, or potato salad.
