Method
Preparation
- 1
Clean and Trim Brussels Sprouts
Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim the ends and remove any damaged outer leaves. Cut the sprouts in half lengthwise.
- 2
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil until well combined. Set aside.
Frying
- 3
Heat Oil
In a large skillet or wok, pour in the vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 4
Fry Brussels Sprouts
Carefully add the halved Brussels sprouts to the hot oil in a single layer. Fry for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan; fry in batches if necessary.
- 5
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Immediately season with salt and pepper.
Tossing
- 6
Toss with Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the crispy Brussels sprouts with the prepared chili garlic sauce until well coated.
Serving
- 7
Plate and Serve
Transfer the sauced Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
