Ingredients for Marinara Sauce

Method

Directions for White Wine & Garlic Sauce

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mussels

Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any debris. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Cook the Aromatics

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the Wine and Mussels

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover with a lid, and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open.

  4. 4

    Finish the Dish

Once the mussels are opened, stir in the chopped parsley, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with crusty bread.
