Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the surface and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour mixture along with the olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Assembling the Pizza

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a 10-inch circle on a floured surface.

  3. 8

    Add Sauce

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface of the dough.

  4. 9

    Add Cheese and Toppings

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then add the pepperoni slices, sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives evenly on top.

  5. 10

    Bake the Pizza

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 11

    Slice and Serve

Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice it and serve hot.
