Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, juice of 2 lemons, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, ensure that the coals are ashen and hot.

  2. 4

    Grill the Wings

Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the wings on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.

  3. 5

    Add Lemon Slices

During the last 5 minutes of cooking, slice the remaining lemon into wedges and place them on the grill to char alongside the wings.

  4. 6

    Serve

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the grill and serve hot with the charred lemon wedges on the side.
