Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Rinse the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the turkey with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with pan juices every 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

While the turkey is roasting, boil the peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and mash until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Make the Cornbread Stuffing

In a skillet, sauté chopped onion and celery until softened. In a large bowl, combine cornbread stuffing mix, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, and dried sage. Mix well and place in a greased baking dish.

  5. 5

    Bake the Stuffing

Bake the stuffing in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the turkey is done, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving. Serve with mashed potatoes and cornbread stuffing on the side.
