Beer Battered Cheese Curds
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Slowly whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and slightly thick.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Coat the Cheese Curds
Dip the cheese curds into the batter, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 4
Fry the Curds
Carefully drop the battered cheese curds into the hot oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 5
Serve
Serve the beer battered cheese curds warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
