Smoothie Base
Sweetener & Enhancers (optional)
Garnish (optional)
Method
Prepare Ingredients
- 1
Wash and hull strawberries
Rinse strawberries under cold water, pat dry, remove the stems (hull) and quarter the larger berries so they blend evenly. Measure 1.5 cups.
- 2
Prepare banana
Peel the banana and break or slice it into pieces. Use about half a medium banana (≈0.5 cups) for natural sweetness and creaminess.
Blend Smoothie

Add ice and optional enhancers
Add 0.5 cup ice cubes. If using, add 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon chia or flaxseed.
- 5
Blend until smooth
Secure the blender lid and blend on high for 45–60 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides once if needed. Blend until the mixture is smooth and slightly thick, with no large chunks of fruit or ice.
- 6
Adjust consistency and sweetness
Check the smoothie. If it's too thick for your taste, add 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) more milk and pulse to combine. If it's not sweet enough, add another 1/2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup and blend briefly.
Serve
- 7
Pour the smoothie into a 16 oz (approximately 480 ml) glass or travel cup. Garnish with a strawberry half on the rim and a mint leaf if desired. Serve immediately while cold.

If making ahead, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; shake or stir before drinking (texture may separate).
