Method
Base & Fruit
- 1
Prep the strawberries
Hull and quarter the strawberries. Reserve one small whole strawberry for garnish and set aside 2–3 small slices if you want to drizzle into the cup.
- 2
Place the quartered strawberries, milk, vanilla ice cream, crushed ice, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice (if using) into a blender.
- 3
Blend on high for 30–60 seconds or until smooth and thick, scraping down the sides once if needed. The mixture should be pourable but hold some body (typical frappe texture).
Cream & Garnish
- 4
Make whipped cream (optional)
While the frappe chills slightly, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until soft peaks form. This takes about 1–2 minutes with an electric mixer or 3–4 minutes by hand with a whisk.
- 5
In your serving glass (16 oz), drizzle about 1 tablespoon of strawberry syrup or smash a couple of reserved strawberry slices against the inside for a decorative stripe.
- 6
Pour the blended strawberry frappe into the prepared glass, leaving about 1 inch at the top for whipped cream.
- 7
Top with a generous dollop of freshly whipped cream. Drizzle a little extra strawberry syrup over the whipped cream and place the reserved whole strawberry on the rim or on top as garnish.
- 8
Serve immediately with a straw and long spoon.
