Cold Brew Base
Milk & Foam
Caramel & Sweetening
Ice & Garnish
Method
Cold Brew Base
- 1
Combine cold brew and water
In a measuring cup or shaker, pour 1 cup cold brew concentrate and 1/2 cup cold water. Stir or gently shake to combine and reach a balanced strength appropriate for a 16 oz drink.
- 2
Sweeten
Add 1 tsp simple syrup (adjust to taste) and 2 tablespoons caramel sauce to the cold brew mixture. Stir or shake until the caramel is fully dissolved and the mixture is homogenous.
Milk & Foam
- 3
Prepare milk and cold foam
If you don't have pre-made vanilla cold foam: froth 1/2 cup whole milk with 1/4 cup vanilla syrup or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract until it forms a smooth, velvety cold foam (use a handheld milk frother or a chilled orbital milk frother). If using prepared vanilla cold foam, measure 1/4 cup and keep chilled.
- 4
Optional seasoning
Stir a very small pinch (about 1/8 tsp) of fine sea salt into the foam or into the cold brew mixture if you want a salted caramel profile.
Assemble the Drink
- 5
Fill a 16 oz glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.
- 6
Pour the sweetened cold brew mixture over the ice, leaving roughly 2 inches of headspace for milk and foam.
- 7
Swirl or gently stir the drink once to integrate.
- 8
Carefully spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam over the top, creating a distinct foam layer (about 1/4 cup).
- 9
Drizzle 1 tablespoon caramel sauce in a crosshatch or spiral pattern over the foam.
- 10
Serve with a straw. Optionally, garnish with a second light drizzle of caramel on the inside of the cup before pouring the drink for extra visual appeal.
