Churro Dough

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

Method

Churro Dough Preparation

1

Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until it forms a ball of dough.

2

Add Eggs

Allow the dough to cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract until smooth.

Frying Churros

3

Heat Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Pipe the Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Carefully pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

5

Drain and Coat

Remove churros from oil and drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.

Chocolate Sauce Preparation

6

Make the Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat heavy cream until it simmers. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
