Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.

Make the Alfredo Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream to the skillet with mushrooms. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.

Combine
Add the cooked penne pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the Alfredo sauce.

Serve
Serve the Chicken Alfredo hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
