Cheese Steaks & Subs Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips. Chop the onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Season with salt and black pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced ribeye steak and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the steak and mix well. Allow to cook together for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Subs

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the hoagie rolls on a baking sheet. Evenly distribute the steak and vegetable mixture into each roll. Top with provolone cheese slices.

  6. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and serve hot.
