Method

Cake Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and rose water.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

  6. 6

    Bake the Cakes

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool the Cakes

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Rose Frosting Preparation

  1. 8

    Beat Butter

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.

  2. 9

    Add Sugar and Liquid Ingredients

Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk and rose water, until you reach a smooth and spreadable consistency.

  3. 10

    Color the Frosting

Add pink food coloring a few drops at a time until you achieve your desired shade of pink.

Assembly and Garnishing

  1. 11

    Frost the First Layer

Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of rose frosting on top.

  2. 12

Stack and Frost the Second Layer

Place the second cake layer on top of the first and frost the top and sides of the entire cake with the remaining rose frosting.

  3. 13

    Garnish

Decorate the top of the cake with edible rose petals and sprinkle with edible glitter if desired.
