Dutch Baby and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dutch Baby

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Cook the Apples

In a large oven-safe skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced Honeycrisp apples and cook until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Bake the Dutch Baby

Pour the batter over the cooked apples in the skillet. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the Dutch baby is puffed and golden.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Miso Caramel

In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and miso paste. Heat over low heat, stirring until well combined and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

  5. 5

    Make the Chantilly Cream

In a mixing bowl, whisk the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the Dutch baby is done, remove it from the oven. Drizzle with miso caramel, top with Chantilly cream, and sprinkle with chocolate pecan granola.
