Prepare the Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Add Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add 2 cups of edamame to the pot.

Steam the Edamame
Let the edamame cook in the boiling water for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly firm.

Drain and Season
Carefully drain the edamame in a colander and return them to the pot. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sea salt over the edamame while they are still warm, and toss to evenly coat.

Serve
Transfer the salted edamame to a serving bowl and serve warm. Enjoy by popping the beans out of the pods with your mouth.
