Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Make sure to coat all sides evenly.
- 2
Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Shred the meat using two forks.
- 4
Add BBQ Sauce
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the BBQ sauce. Allow it to heat through for about 10 minutes.
- 5
Prepare the Coleslaw
In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix and coleslaw dressing. Toss well to coat.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwiches
Toast the brioche rolls lightly. For each sandwich, place a generous amount of pulled pork on the bottom half of the roll, top with coleslaw, and then place the top half of the roll on.
- 7
Serve
Serve the pulled pork sandwiches warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
