Hot Apple Cider

Method

Hot Apple Cider Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pot, combine the apple cider, orange juice, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, brown sugar, and orange peel.

  2. 2

    Heat the Mixture

Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it steep for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Strain and Serve

Remove the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange peel. Serve the hot apple cider in mugs.

Apple Crumble Preparation

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Prepare Apples

In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and place them in a greased baking dish.

  3. 6

    Make the Crumble Topping

In another bowl, combine oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and ground cinnamon. Mix until crumbly.

  4. 7

    Assemble the Dish

Spread the crumble topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.

  5. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  6. 9

    Cool and Serve

Let the crumble cool for a few minutes before serving. It can be enjoyed warm with the hot apple cider.
