Creole-Spiced Walnuts
Prepare the Walnuts
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the walnuts in a mixing bowl.
Season the Walnuts
Drizzle the olive oil over the walnuts and sprinkle with Creole seasoning, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the walnuts are evenly coated.
Bake the Walnuts
Spread the walnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden and fragrant. Let them cool before serving.
Everything Crackers
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Water
Gradually add water to the flour mixture, stirring until the dough comes together. If too dry, add a little more water.
Roll Out the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
Add Seasoning
Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top of the crackers before baking.
Bake the Crackers
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the cut crackers on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, until crisp and lightly golden. Let cool.
Sorghum Syrup
Prepare the Sorghum Syrup
Simply measure out the sorghum syrup and set aside for serving with the cheese and crackers.
