Hummus Preparation

Prepare the Ingredients
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside. Peel the garlic cloves and prepare the lemon juice.

Blend the Hummus
In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth.

Adjust Consistency
If the hummus is too thick, add water gradually (1 tablespoon at a time) while blending until the desired consistency is reached.

Warm the Pita
Heat the pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet for a few minutes until warm and soft.

Prepare the Veggies
Wash and cut the carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers into sticks or slices for dipping.
Final Assembly

Serve the Hummus
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with extra olive oil if desired, and serve it alongside the warm pita and fresh vegetable sticks.
