Hot Fudge Sundae Recipe
A classic favorite with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, rich hot fudge, candied walnuts, whipped cream and a Bordeaux cherry.

Prepare Hot Fudge

Make the Hot Fudge Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and milk. Stir over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and comes to a gentle boil.

Add the unsalted butter and continue to cook, stirring frequently until the fudge thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Set aside to cool slightly.
Assemble the Sundae

Scoop Ice Cream
In a serving bowl or sundae dish, place two scoops of vanilla ice cream side by side.

Add Hot Fudge
Pour a generous amount of the warm hot fudge sauce over the ice cream.

Add Toppings
Sprinkle candied walnuts over the fudge, followed by a dollop of whipped cream on top.

Finish with Cherry
Garnish the sundae with a Bordeaux cherry on top of the whipped cream.
