Salad Base

Caramelized Pears

Pecan Pralines

Method

Prepare Pecan Pralines

1

Make the Pecan Pralines

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and butter. Stir until melted and bubbling.

2

Add Pecans

Add chopped pecans to the saucepan and stir to coat. Cook until the mixture thickens and turns caramel in color, about 5 minutes. Pour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool.

Caramelize Pears

3

Melt Butter

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

4

Add Pears and Sugar

Add sliced pears and brown sugar to the skillet. Cook until the pears are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Grill the Steak

5

Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

6

Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

7

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare the Dressing

8

Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together crumbled blue cheese, olive oil, red wine vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Assemble the Salad

9

Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, roasted sweet peppers, and caramelized pears.

10

Add Steak and Dressing

Slice the rested steak and place it on top of the salad. Drizzle with blue cheese dressing and sprinkle with pecan pralines.

11

Serve

Toss gently to combine before serving. Enjoy your grilled steak salad!
