Brownies

Method

Brownies

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brownie Batter

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well until combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  3. 3

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Fruit Tart

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined and creamy.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Tart

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the pie crust. Arrange the assorted fresh fruits on top of the cream cheese layer.

  3. 6

    Add the Glaze

Brush the fruit glaze over the fruits to give them a shiny finish. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Chocolate Mousse

  1. 7

    Melt Chocolate

Chop the semisweet chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

  2. 8

    Whip Cream

In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

  3. 9

    Combine Mousse Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream, then fold in the egg whites until no streaks remain.

  4. 10

    Chill and Serve

Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings or whipped cream if desired.
