Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar (1 cup each) along with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it steep for 30 minutes. Strain the syrup into a clean container and refrigerate until ready to use.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Cucumber and Rosemary

In a cocktail shaker, add the cucumber (sliced) and the rosemary sprigs. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the cucumber and rosemary together to release their flavors—about 10 seconds.

  3. 3

Add the Gin and Lime Juice

Squeeze the juice from the fresh lime into the shaker, then add the Tanqueray Gin. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

  4. 4

    Strain into a Glass

Fill a highball glass with ice and strain the cocktail mixture from the shaker into the glass, leaving the muddled cucumber and rosemary behind.

  5. 5

    Add Tonic and Simple Syrup

Top the strained cocktail with tonic water and add the rosemary simple syrup. Stir gently to combine.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a cucumber slice and a sprig of rosemary. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Cucumber Rosemary Gin & Tonic!
