Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and baking powder. Toss to coat evenly.
- 2
Chill the Wings
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the seasoned wings for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor).
Cooking the Wings
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, taking care not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Drain the Wings
Remove the wings from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined tray.
Making the Sauces
- 6
Prepare Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine hot sauce, butter, and garlic powder. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.
- 7
Prepare Korean BBQ Sauce
In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger until smooth.
- 8
Prepare Dry Spice Rub
In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and onion powder.
Serving
- 9
Toss Wings in Sauce
Toss the fried chicken wings in your choice of sauce (Buffalo, Korean BBQ, or Dry Spice Rub) until well coated.
- 10
Serve with Dipping Sauces
Serve the wings hot with blue cheese dressing, ranch dressing, and sriracha on the side for dipping.
