Rinse the Fruits
Thoroughly rinse the fresh cranberries and blackberries under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Prepare the Cooking Liquid
In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of honey. Stir well to dissolve the honey.

Simmer the Fruits
Add the rinsed cranberries and blackberries to the saucepan with the honeyed water. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.

Reduce Heat and Add Spices
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.

Cook Until Berries Burst
Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries begin to burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
