Ingredients

Hydrogen infusion

Optional flavoring (use only if desired)

Preparation

Preparation

1. Chill water

If you prefer cold hydrogen water, chill filtered water in the refrigerator ahead of time or add ice at the end. Start with about 1 cup (240 ml) of cold, filtered water poured into a clean glass or the hydrogen bottle you will use.

2. Inspect equipment

Ensure the hydrogen-generating tablet, cartridge, or straw is within its use-by date and that the bottle or generator is clean and dry before use. Use non-metallic containers recommended by the device/tablet manufacturer.

Infusing hydrogen

3. If using a hydrogen-producing tablet: Drop one tablet into the cup or bottle of water, immediately seal the bottle if it is designed to hold pressure, or cover the glass. Allow the tablet to dissolve fully — usually 1 to 3 minutes. You will see small bubbles (H2 gas) rising as the tablet reacts. Wait an additional 30–60 seconds after full dissolution to allow hydrogen to saturate the water before opening.

4. If using a hydrogen generator bottle or straw: Follow the manufacturer's instructions to activate the generator (usually pressing a button or inserting the straw). Run the device for the recommended time to reach saturation (commonly 1–5 minutes for small bottles). Keep the container sealed while infusing to minimize H2 loss.

5. If using a hydrogen gas cartridge and infusion system: Attach the cartridge and infuse according to the device instructions until the target infusion time or concentration is reached. Keep connections tight and avoid open air exposure until infusion completes.

6. Note: Hydrogen is a very small molecule and escapes quickly from open containers. Keep the container sealed as much as possible and consume the hydrogen water within 15–30 minutes for maximum H2 concentration.

Flavoring and serving

7. If desired, add optional flavor: stir in 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice and drop in 2 fresh mint leaves. These small additions will not significantly reduce hydrogen levels if added just before drinking.

8. If you added ice to chill, add 2–3 ice cubes now. If using a sealed bottle, open carefully after the recommended infusion time and pour into a glass or drink directly from the bottle.

9. Consume immediately (within 15–30 minutes) for best hydrogen concentration. Discard any unused hydrogen water after 1–2 hours as hydrogen will dissipate and the tablet reaction byproducts (if any) may alter taste.

Clean-up and safety

10. Rinse the bottle, straw, or generator components with clean water after each use and allow them to dry. Dispose of used hydrogen tablets according to manufacturer guidance. Do not use hydrogen tablets or devices near open flames; follow all safety instructions provided with your product.
