Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Burger Patty
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
2. Grill the Burgers
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness.
3. Add the Egg Yolk
In the last minute of cooking, carefully place the egg yolk on top of each patty. Close the grill lid to allow the yolk to slightly warm up.
4. Toast the Buns
During the last few minutes of grilling, place the burger buns cut side down on the grill to toast lightly.
5. Assemble the Burger
Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Add the grilled patty with the egg yolk, followed by a slice of tomato, red onion, and pickles. If desired, add cheese and bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.
6. Serve
Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
