Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Prepare Egg Mixture

In a medium bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 1 cup of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  3. 3

    Add Mascarpone and Vanilla

Gently fold in 1 cup of mascarpone cheese and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the egg mixture until smooth and well combined.

  4. 4

    Whip Heavy Cream

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Assembling Tiramisu

  1. 5

    Soak Ladyfingers

Quickly dip 24 ladyfingers into the cooled espresso, one at a time, and arrange them in a single layer in a 9x13 inch dish.

  2. 6

    Layer the Filling

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of soaked ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.

  3. 7

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  4. 8

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.

Finishing Touch

  1. 9

    Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder using a fine sieve for an elegant finish.
