Method

Pulled Ham Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.

  3. 3

    Coat the Ham

Place the boneless ham in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well-coated.

  4. 4

    Bake

Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for about 2 hours, or until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  5. 5

    Shred the Ham

Remove the ham from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes, then shred it using two forks.

Topping and Serving

  1. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Preheat a broiler. Place the shredded ham onto a baking sheet and top with slices of smoked Gouda cheese.

  2. 7

    Broil

Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.

  4. 9

    Assemble the Dish

Serve the pulled ham topped with melted smoked Gouda on buns or bread rolls.
