Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice

Rinse the SnakeBite rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, add 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Bring water to a boil, then add rice. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for another 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the rice is cooking, wash and chop all the vegetables (bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, snap peas) as instructed.

Cooking the Shrimp

  1. 3

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.

  2. 4

    Add Teriyaki Sauce

Pour in the teriyaki sauce and cook for an additional 2 minutes, ensuring the shrimp are well coated.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the chopped vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until just tender but still crisp.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Bowl

In a serving bowl, layer the cooked SnakeBite rice, followed by the teriyaki shrimp and the sautéed vegetables. Garnish with fresh lime wedges and chopped cilantro.
