Iced Tea

Method

Sodas

  1. 1

    Make the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Mix the Soda

In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, 4 cups of carbonated water, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.

  3. 3

    Add Mint

Add a handful of mint leaves to the pitcher. Gently muddle the mint with a wooden spoon to release its flavor.

  4. 4

    Serve

Pour the soda into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.

Iced Tea

  1. 5

    Brew the Tea

In a heatproof pitcher, place 4 black tea bags and pour 4 cups of boiling water over them. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.

  2. 6

    Sweeten the Tea

Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves completely.

  3. 7

    Cool the Tea

Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher with the sweetened tea. Stir well and place the pitcher in the refrigerator to cool for at least 1 hour.

  4. 8

    Serve

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the iced tea over the ice, and add lemon slices to taste.
