Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Prepare the Drumsticks
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the Frenched Red Bird Farms drumsticks dry with paper towels. This helps to achieve a crispy skin.
- 2
Season the Drumsticks
Place the drumsticks in a large bowl, season lightly with salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
Cooking the Wings
- 3
Bake the Wings
Arrange the seasoned drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is crispy.
Preparing Sauces
- 4
Buffalo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until combined and heated through, then remove from heat.
- 5
BBQ Sauce
In a separate saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6
Teriyaki Glaze
In another saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer over low heat for about 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Final Assembly
- 7
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in your choice of sauce (Buffalo, BBQ, or Teriyaki) until well coated.
- 8
Serve
Serve the wings hot with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
