Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Take the slices of bread and set them aside on a plate or cutting board for easy dipping.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or frying pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Allow the butter to foam and bubble but not brown.

  2. 4

    Dip the Bread

Take a slice of bread and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated. Let any excess mixture drip off.

  3. 5

    Cook the French Toast

Place the dipped bread slice into the hot skillet. Repeat with additional slices, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  4. 6

    Repeat Cooking

Add more butter to the skillet as needed, and continue cooking the remaining slices of bread until all the egg mixture is used up.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the French Toast

Once all slices are cooked, stack the French toast on plates.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Drizzle maple syrup over the French toast and top with fresh berries.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your classic French toast!
