Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cream the Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix Dry Ingredients with Wet Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Bake the Cookie
Spread the cookie dough evenly in the skillet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Add Ice Cream
Once the cookie skillet is removed from the oven and slightly cooled, add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top.

Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

Finally, drizzle the chocolate sauce over the ice cream and whipped cream to finish.
