Chicken Pesto Pasta Recipe
Chicken breast sauteed with garlic and roasted peppers. Tossed in pesto cream sauce with penne pasta and topped with Parmesan and roasted walnuts.

Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.

Cook Penne
Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
Cooking the Chicken

Heat Oil
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Cook Chicken
Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper, then add them to the skillet.

Brown Chicken
Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

Slice Chicken
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Making the Sauce

Add Peppers
Add roasted red peppers and stir for another 2 minutes.

Combine Sauces
Pour in the pesto sauce and heavy cream, stirring well to combine.

Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combining and Serving

Toss Pasta
Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
