For the Cajun Salmon

For the Cajun Cream Sauce

Method

Preparing the Cajun Salmon

  1. 1

    Season the Salmon

Pat the Atlantic Salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Salmon

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a blackened crust. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Cajun Cream Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté Aromatics

In the same skillet used for the salmon, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.

  2. 4

    Create the Cream Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and add 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

  3. 5

    Add Bay Shrimp

Add the bay shrimp and lemon juice to the sauce. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.

Serving the Dish

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Return the blackened salmon to the skillet, spooning the Cajun cream sauce and shrimp over the top.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges and sliced sweet bell peppers.

  3. 8

    Prepare Seasonal Vegetables and Rice

In a separate pot, prepare the seasonal vegetables by steaming or sautéing them until tender. Cook the SnakeBite Rice according to package instructions.

  4. 9

    Serve

Serve the Cajun salmon bites with seasonal vegetables and SnakeBite Rice on the side.
