Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Chop the Garlic and Basil

Mince the garlic cloves and roughly chop the fresh basil leaves.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sun-Dried Tomatoes

If using jarred sun-dried tomatoes, drain them and chop them into smaller pieces.

  5. 5

    Combine Toppings

In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped basil, and sun-dried tomatoes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

Baking

  1. 6

    Assemble the Brie

Place the wheel of brie on a baking dish. Spread the garlic, basil, and sun-dried tomato mixture evenly over the top of the brie.

  2. 7

    Bake the Brie

Bake the brie in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  3. 8

    Toast the Bread

While the brie is baking, toast the prepared baguette slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Remove the baked brie from the oven and let it sit for a minute. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices for dipping.
