Steak and Accompaniments

Caramelized Onions

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season and Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Season the prime striploin steaks with salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from grill and let rest.

Caramelized Onions

  1. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.

Compound Butter

  1. 3

    Make the Compound Butter

In a bowl, mix softened unsalted butter with chopped parsley, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined. Roll into a log shape in parchment paper and refrigerate until firm.

Salad Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine chopped tomatoes and arugula. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss well to combine.

Grilled Baguette

  1. 5

    Grill the Baguette

Slice the garlic baguette in half and brush with olive oil. Grill for 1-2 minutes on each side until toasted.
