Marinade

Coconut Rice

Method

Marinating the Fish

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine ponzu sauce, orange juice, lime juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Sablefish

Place the sablefish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Coconut Rice

  1. 3

    Cook the Rice

In a saucepan, combine jasmine rice, coconut milk, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté Seasonal Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add zucchini, bell pepper, and carrot. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking the Sablefish

  1. 5

    Cook the Sablefish

Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Remove sablefish from the marinade and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the marinated sablefish alongside the coconut rice and sautéed seasonal vegetables.
