Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Pommes Frites Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips for fries.

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Vegetables Preparation

  1. 6

    Sauté the Vegetables

Chop the zucchini, bell pepper, and carrot into bite-sized pieces. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add the vegetables, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Compound Butter Preparation

  1. 7

    Make Compound Butter

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with chopped parsley, minced garlic, and lemon zest until well combined. Shape into a log, wrap in parchment paper, and refrigerate until firm.
