Make Honey Syrup
If you do not have honey syrup, combine equal parts honey and warm water (1:1 ratio) in a small bowl. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.

Prepare the Glass
Chill a cocktail glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside while you mix the drink.
Mixing the Drink

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, vanilla blackberry shrub, honey syrup, fresh lemon juice, and angostura bitters.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain
Empty the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass. Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.

Garnish the drink with fresh blackberries and a twist of lemon peel on top for an aromatic finish.
