Method

Preparing the Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook Tagliatelle

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook Rigatoni

In the same pot, bring more salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically around 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook Spinach Pappardelle

Again, in the same pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spinach pappardelle and cook according to package instructions for about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauces

  1. 4

    Prepare Marinara Sauce

In a medium saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Prepare Pesto Cream Sauce

In a separate saucepan, combine the pesto and heavy cream over low heat. Stir until well combined and heated through, about 3-5 minutes. Do not boil.

  3. 6

    Combine Parmesan Cheese

Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pesto cream sauce, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Combining and Serving

  1. 7

    Toss Pasta with Sauces

In a large serving bowl, combine the cooked tagliatelle with the marinara sauce, tossing to coat evenly. In another bowl, combine the rigatoni with the pesto cream sauce, and toss to coat well. Finally, combine the spinach pappardelle with the Parmesan cream sauce.

  2. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Drizzle olive oil over each pasta dish. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve family-style for sharing.
