Preparation Steps

   Chill the Glass

   Begin by chilling a martini glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

   Mix the Ingredients

   In a mixing glass, combine the gin and dry vermouth. Fill the mixing glass with ice.

   Stir

   Stir the mixture well for about 30 seconds or until well chilled.

   Strain into Glass

   Empty the ice water from the chilled martini glass. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.

   Garnish

   Garnish with an olive or a twist of lemon peel, as per your preference.
