Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in the first dish, beat the eggs in the second dish, and combine the bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, and paprika in the third dish.

  2. 2

    Coat the Flounder

Dredge each flounder fillet in the flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour. Next, dip the flounder into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the fillet in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. You can test the oil's readiness by dropping a small piece of bread into it. If it sizzles, the oil is ready.

  4. 4

    Fry the Flounder

Carefully place the breaded flounder fillets in the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the skillet; fry in batches if necessary.

  5. 5

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the fillets from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately with your choice of two sides.
