Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the colossal lump crab meat, claw crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and green onions. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Add Bindings
Add the breadcrumbs and beaten egg to the mixture. Stir until everything is well combined. The mixture should hold together; if it's too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs.
- 3
Form the Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- 5
Cook the Crab Cakes
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the crab cakes to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and heated through.
- 6
Serve
Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
