Method

Prepare Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

Preheat your grill or oven to 300°F (150°C). Mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder together. Rub the mixture evenly over the baby back ribs.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill or in the oven. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes until tender.

Make Corn Bread

  1. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  2. 4

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.

  3. 5

    Combine and Bake

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve

  1. 6

    Plate the Meal

Once everything is cooked, slice the ribs and serve alongside the corn bread and your choice of sides: coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad.
