Rinse a chilled Old Fashioned glass with absinthe, swirling it around to coat the inside. Discard any excess absinthe.

In a mixing glass, add the Angel's Envy Rye, simple syrup, and Peychaud's bitters. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled.
